An amazing blend of modern running gear with traditional Morgan craftsmanship and styling, built on the strong and lightweight aluminium chassis from the Aero 8 with it’s potent V8 running gear. The BMW sourced engine pushes 362hp & 361lb/ft through an LSD and a well weighted 6 speed manual gearbox. The 11 50 kerb weight aids a 0-60 time of around 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.
One of the current owners fondest memories of the car was a wonderful trip to Sicily through the Alps, Dolomites and Apennines. It was the recollections of this trip that kept the car in the family long after it was realistically matching their needs.
I remember being in my late 20’s when two months apart my Father arrived with two unusual part exchanges, a 4/4 and an Aero 8. The first I was instantly drawn to for it’s looks and after a 150 mile round trip through Norfolk was impressed by the sharp handling and cruising ability but lack of punch left me wanting more. Fast forward to a warm summer Friday afternoon and the Aero 8 arrives, I was excited until it rolled off the trailer and stared straight at me, for me worse in the flesh than the magazines I’d read a few years prior. After giving it a far amount of grief over the weekend I was torn, it was an amazing thing to drive, but whenever I parked up, I never looked back when walking away! Fast forward to a week ago and a surprise visitor arrives at the showroom, all of the Morgan charm but was on earth are those wheels and huge brakes tucked behind them? It took a while for me to remember this unusual moment in Morgan’s history. It really is fantastic union of old and new, then performance is pretty outrageous, but with an easily caught rear end, potent brake, predictable handling and plenty of grip you aren’t afraid to push on.

Vehicle Condition and Maintenance:
Exterior:
Finished in Jaguar liquid silver the bodywork is in excellent condition across all panels. It has PPF applied to the nose, running boards and leading edge of the rear arches which shows a small amount of stone chipping.
A thorough physical inspection and paint depth test shows no signs of any panel being re-painted. All stainless steel & chrome work is in excellent condition. The heated windscreen is free from scratches and delimitation, with only one very small shallow stone chip.
The near side front alloy wheel has a 2” kerb graze, all other alloys are in perfect order. The tyres are matching Yokohama Advan Sport
all round, measuring 225/35/19 front and 245/35/19 rear. The NSF has 5/6/6mm the NSR has 5/5/6mm (outer to inner) the OSF has 7/7/6mm the OSR has 6/6/5mm (inner to outer) all tyres are free from damage and perishing.
The mohair hood and side screens are in perfect condition, with no signs of wear, damage or fading. The rear screen is free from creasing or discolouration. A hood ‘tonneau’ cover and side screen bag are present, the code screens can be securely stowed within the rear luggage rack when touring.
Interior:
Free from distractions and full of character with minimal easy to use switchgear.
The black leather is broken up nicely by a silver painted steering wheel insert and dash surround plus stainless steel handbrake lever & gear knob and surrounds.
Very light scuffing to the drivers bolster piping and door shut leather panel, excellent in every other area.
All tools for hood removal/fitting are present, all electrics work perfectly, the air-conditoning blows cold and is far more effective than I expected!
